Shooting Rampage at Tuskegee University Homecoming Weekend
One person is killed and several others wounded in a Shooting Rampage occurred at campus of Tuskegee University during early hours of sunday on the last day of homecoming week.
Tuskegee University confirmed in news release, the victim of the shooting was not associated with Tuskegee University, However, some of the wounded were associated with the University.

According to statement released by Tuskegee University, “The parents of the victim have been notified and some others including Tuskegee University students were injured and are receiving treatment at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika and Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.”
“The university is in the process of completing student accountability and notifying parents,” the statement said.
As per CNN news, “The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the identity of the perpetrator are yet to be determined. No arrests have been reported as of Sunday morning.”
The incident happened while school was celebrating Tuskegee’s centennial homecoming week, with major crowds present on Saturday night.

Congressman-Elect Shomari Figures mentioned in statement that he is praying for the victims and their families.
Figures stated that “Gun violence is ripping apart too many communities and taking far too many lives, especially the lives of young black people.”
As per school website, The Tuskegee university was founded in year 1881 in a one-room by Dr. Booker T. Washington and Lewis Adams, who had been enslaved in their life.
