What is the allegation in Jay Z lawsuit
Jay-Z, the star rapper and record executor, real name is Shawn Corey Carter, was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 along with Sean “Diddy” Combs in a civil lawsuit which refiled on Sunday.
Initially lawsuit was filed against Sean “Diddy” Comb only in October, but on Sunday, The anonymous accuser who alleges she was sexually assaulted added jay-z as a defendant in refiled lawsuit.
The Accuser said the assault has happened after she was driven to an after-party of MTV Video Music Awards.
Statement on Jay Z lawsuit
In the statement, carter said
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!
Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”
The Jay Z Lawsuit
As per the lawsuit in 2000, The accuser identified as Jane Doe, 13, Combs and Carter raped her at MTV Video Music Awards after party in New York.
According to lawsuit a friend of accuser dropped her off at the VMAs at Radio City Music Hall. She didn’t have a ticket for show, and hence she approached various limousine drivers to get access to the show or an after-party.
One driver told her that he worked for Combs and that she “fit what Diddy was looking for.” So, he invited her to after party and told her to return to his car after he drop Carter and Combs, the suit says.
As per the suit, Later, the driver picked her up and they arrived at a location. She also had to sign a document on arrival which she thought was a nondisclosure agreement.
